I have now walked through snow.

Went to the mountains yesterday. At one point I was trudging knee deep through snow in the rocky moors and I looked around me and saw snow topped peaks in every direction. Further to the north were ski fields. One of the lakes was frozen, we could hear the sound of our rock hitting the ice, then small bits of air came up to the surface. We didn't pass another person all day.

Later on when I got sick of walking and falling over I sat down and slid down one of the slopes. (Thank you macpac for waterproof trousers).

I think I found a good site for my 1920s sanatorium, and definitely breatheing better since my trip to the top of the world.
