Mini-break

Spending some time with the other half this weekend, taking off to Adelaide on Thursday. Seems so long since I was there, and longer since I interacted with any part of the city. Nowadays visits are confined to family duties and visiting friend's new(ly bought) houses. Staying in is the new going out.

So, I miss the city, like a long lost acquaintance. Having moved away from it twice now makes it seem even weirder. I get glimpses of faces once known, enthusiastic chats, days when it and I seemed so immature, echoes of people moving on to bigger scenes.

Missed the Fiona Hall exhibition at the Art Gallery and also the Natural History art exhibition at the museum. Don't think I'll be doing much high falutin art stuff this visit either, due to camping plans. HOWEVER, I do get to see my four year old nephew in fine form at kindergarten and apparently his almost six year old brother has a primary school disco that I can go to too. How fun.
