Transgenders

You know how sometimes you're going to a party of a friend of a friend and you know you're going to be asked all night "How do you know the hostess?" . At Saturday night's dress up party themed "The Good, the Bad, The Ugly", a female dressed as Michael Jackson came up to me, asking that question with "are you a transgender too?".

Yes, it was a trick of hearing. Best party I've been to in ages, though am not impressed with all the guys that came in civvies and said "Oh, I'm ugly" (If it had been my party I would have directed them to the dress up box and face paint and made them participate; but perhaps I am developing a forceful and not entirely likeable edge...)

Talked to lots of people, found someone who had exactly the same taste as me in boxed set DVDs and Australian rock bands. And best of all, gave my garage sale gift cowboy boots a whirl. I love old pieces.

Botanical Gardens
Found out that the reason that Huon Pine is so desirable is that it can hold water and not decay. There is a water sculpture in the gardens representing ships of ye olde days made from Huon Pines that I'd like to photograph. The gardens are quite cool, very lush and perched on sloping hills like the Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens. I imagine they'd be good for rolling down hills, having little siestas and for hiding elephants in.
