Some Book Club recommendations, Some Blog recommendations...
Today's exchange that went like this:
Hi Duckworth,
Tried what I thought was your home number last night, but got the message service of Dr Bim Bam (unless that was you doing a successful prank?). Read Douglas Kennedy's "The Pursuit of
Happiness" which was great, as was "Old School" by Tobias Wollf.
Incredibly disillusioned about sad single blokes at the moment (do not include you in that).

"Doctor Bim Bam! I wish I had thought of it, wot larks! It must have been a wrong number.
I've been reading Dashiell Hammett, who wrote The Maltese Falcon and The Thin Man. Also City of Saints & Madmen, by Jeff VanderMeer, which was amazingly obsessive on the topics of fungi and squid.
Here's my favourite emo blog of the moment:

I'm looking forward to nanowrimo this year, maybe I'll give the sad single blokes theme a run."
