people who are too nice! TOOO nice.

Why oh why do I get annoyed when friends of mine are too nice, when instead I should be greatful that they are making a small contribution to the balance of nice vs nasty people. One of my friends in Sydney is so nice that he doesn't mind that I still haven't remembered to post him his wedding present. And one of my old school friends is so nice that he forgives me for being too tired to go to coffee with him on his once a year visit to Adelaide and he hosted Andy and I when we visited him in Geelong AND paid for dinner AND still continues to send Andy friendly emails and ask after him from this one meeting. My flatmate is so nice that she hung out my washing AND washed my beach towel that had been sitting on the line since there was sunny-must-go-to-beach weather in Hobart (actually only 7 days ago, but feels longer) AND hung out the "special" tea towel that Mum gave me when Mum visited, so that it looked like my appreciated and cherished the tea towel that she'd given us AND pretended not to notice that I ate the vast majority of coffee liqueurs her visitor gave her.

Have a visit next week from the Kurt and Brian of Sydney, if you watch Teachers you'll know what I mean. Are they a couple or just good friends? Do their pupils get bigger when they look at each other? I will report back.

Is this like Chris and Chris? BTW, sorry we haven't rung yet with that phone number - we're still looking for it, actually, and don't know whether we have it or not.

Yes!! Exactly like Chris or Chris, except we were always reasonably confident of Chris S heterosexuality. Funnily enough there was an article in Sunday Life about gay vagueness. And this weeks episode is about Kurt and Brian realising that essentially they are married...

Just got an email from your wife RSVPing to my Birthday party and asking if I am going to be 29 or 30. 30, of course, I am SAME AGE. Though I did get chastised by one of you as referring to you as 30 year olds prematurely, so can accept that we have all "forgotten" our real age.

Phone number? What phone number?
