what I'm doing tonight
Going with the gang to see Major Michael Mori explain/justify David Hicks detention, or at least the legalities of it (sponsored by Amnesty and the local legal society); apparently there is lots of interest in his talk. As part of this weeks writers festival there is a poetry event at the bot gardens, kind of composition on the spot by poets inspired by trees etc. I'm sure me and Miss P will produce some of our own pearls.
Just finished reading The Anxiety of Everyday Objects which I can't recommend enough, so whimisical, in a good way and enjoyable, kind of what Shopgirl was trying to be, but didn't quite achieve. Almost like a literary version of the film Secretary (without the s and m).
Cannot wait for this weekend, or even 5:30 tonight, as am wearing a lovely striped navy tshirt with a barely detectable coffee stain, that I keep fixating about. (Glad I can still stick to my priorities).
