Memories of Broken Hill

It's not unlike being in Port Adelaide: you see warehouses and huge corrugated iron buildings. Lit up at night time they are very beautiful and make you forget about their industrial nature. Something like 900 men have died in the mines in Broken Hill since they began...
The industrial landscape fits into my theme of loneliness because it's a human response to the natural landscape: fearing it, not understanding it, building something that is the opposite, that is at odds to it, that helps them hide instead of integrate.
