house
Since we bought a house last week, I have turned into 100% homezilla. These are some websites I'm loving:
This one for the great interviews, photographs and access to cool homes. Cool, mostly because of the personality that comes through, not just the $$$ spent:

This one because the kid never gets permission from his landlord:

This one because she also rents, and she lives in Hobart but likes getting out of the state or visiting the countryside and because she has some fairly amazing photography on her food site:

So, the colour combinations that are inspiring me?
Purple/pink/orange. An under rated combination, that I have in a throw rug and that dominate a painting I bought from Better World Arts
Purple/yellow. Always a good combination, you can pair it with a bit of white or a bit of chocolate brown.
Charcoal for trims, carpet. Or more accurately, Benjamin Moore’s “Raccoon Fur” in eggshell, according to the blog guy.
chocolate/pale grey blue/steel silver/grey/steel dark blue, as in another throw rug I have, made from the upholstery remnants I bought at an interior design studio in Coffs Harbour.
Went to an amazing wedding on the weekend. Amber held it in her backyard, the house already looked fabulous, inside and out (they're trying to sell it), but then she had reached even greater decorating heights for the wedding. What made it wonderful was the effort she made to stick to recycled/reused/vintage.
