A bit of Ben Mendo

At Imagined Slights, I was impressed with how Sarina kept up with John Cusack's dating habits, poorly written tweets, dubious choice of film roles AND still found something to like about him. She thinks the movie is an improvement on the novel of High Fidelity. Andy said I should forgive John Cusack for being in that shite movie with Nick Cage because he wore Birkenstocks throughout the film. And yet in real life, I'd have trouble ignoring Birkenstocks in public*

I would like to know what Sarina would have to say on Ben Mendelsohn. As I alluded to in my last post, I have accumulated a store of trivia on him, culminating with his wife's memoir. I can hazard much of his character in Love My Way was scripted from life. (Including the line about there being a talent in getting everyone to drive you around for 20 years so you don't require a drivers licence). His wife appears to have led a life socialising with celebrities even more than that documented by Marieke Hardy in her book, which Sarina also reviews, admitting her back-stage access to Young Talent Time WAS impressive.

*such as my manager wearing them to work after a weekend commuting by bicycle from his inner city architecturally extended home to Womadelaide with his wife and two adorable kids.
